Advanced Plug Flow Anaerobic Digestion

Arcistar’s CBG solutions use Arciplug® ’s Plug Flow Anaerobic Digestion Technology, developed for high-solids organic feedstocks. The system is designed to handle different waste characteristics while keeping water requirements, energy use, and on-site construction lower than conventional digestion approaches.

The Challenge with Conventional Digestion

Conventional digestion systems often rely on dilution to bring feedstocks to the required solids level. This can increase water use, reactor volume, pumping requirements and the amount of material that needs to be handled within the plant.

They can also involve significant on-site construction and longer installation periods, particularly as project capacity increases.

For projects working with high-solids organic waste, the choice of reactor configuration can therefore have a direct impact on plant size, resource requirements, and project execution.

WHAT WE OFFER

Plug Flow Technology Built Around the Feedstock

Arcistar supplies CBG plant solutions using Arciplug®’s Dry Plug Flow Technology, in which feedstock moves progressively through the digestion system rather than being continuously mixed throughout the reactor. This approach is suited to high-solids organic materials and can accommodate a broad range of feedstocks.

The system can be configured around the feedstock, site, and project requirements, with the reactor, feed preparation, and downstream systems brought together as part of the overall CBG solution.

Designed for reliable, low-maintenance operation, the plant offers a 30-year plant life.
